The Rwanda Human Resources for Health Program (HRH Program) was launched in August 2012 to expand the number, diversity, and competencies of the health workforce in Rwanda. The HRH Program includes faculty from 26 U.S. academic institutions, including Brigham Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and builds on a longstanding partnership between eight Harvard affiliated institutions and the Rwandan Ministry of Health. This Symposium focuses on the contributions of these seven Harvard-affiliated institutions and of the faculty deployed to Rwanda since 2012 through the HRH Program to discuss the bilateral benefits of their participation in this initiative.
